Design Assistant
We are looking for a talented, aspiring graphic designer to join our team on a part-time, on-call basis. The primary responsibility of this role will be to create social media graphics, flyers, logos along with assisting with various other tasks, as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create visually stunning and on-brand designs. Familiarity with social media design best practices and current design trends is a must.
The on-call nature of this role means that the designer will need to be responsive and able to turn around designs in a timely manner. This person will be able to negotiate their compensation for certain types of work.
College students with design/marketing experience are encouraged to apply. You will be assisting our firm with the production of creative materials for a major client. This is an excellent opportunity to build your portfolio with both digital and print deliverables.
Qualifications:

Proficiency with Canva

Proficiency or experience with Photoshop & Lightroom are a plus, but not required

Strong portfolio showcasing past design and/or creative work

Familiarity/strong understanding of social media

Attention to detail and ability to follow brand guidelines

Good communication skills and ability to work on a flexible, on-call basis

Local to Maryland, DC, or Virginia is a plus (position is REMOTE)
