Veo 3 Use Case | "Moving Pictures"

Updated: Jun 25

While the overwhelming majority of AI-generated video is based on "text prompts", you can also use prompts in conjunction with your own images. That said, our Creative Team recently conducted several experiments. Some of our best results are below:

The first and last frames are photographs for UDC's media kit. Veo 3 rendered everything in between.
This result was particularly noteworthy because the AI believably generated the projected footage in the background. Impressive.
This is a picture our Photography Team took during UDC's High School Counselor's Brunch earlier this year.
Another stellar example exterior shot.

What did we learn?

If we set our sights on the first and last example, the exterior shots of the Student Center, we can see that this technology is able to create passable drone-style footage, even if only in brief spurts and of course, the prompt can be further refined with additional attempts.

How can we use this kind of AI footage?

The first reasonable use of clips like this would be intro/outro segments of short-form social media content. There are other ways to utilize the footage generated but the brevity and abrupt cut-off could make for an annoyance when editing. (B-roll)

What doesn't work?

Again, this is specifically in reference to the exterior Student Center shots: aside from the clips being short as a consequence of Veo 3's time limitation, another issue are the accuracy of background buildings ( last clip, second scene)

More to come!
